However, in our tests, the video did not get crisper or smoother as a result of the higher frame rate. Both cameras will record in high definition at 30 frames per second, and at 1080p, you will be able to take better films.

Due to this, we do not advise investing extra money in the C922 in order to get a higher frame rate.

Firmware update & Background Removal Tool

Although the C922’s firmware has been updated, it lacks a background removal function. Although Logitech promotes this function, background removal—which is essentially the same as green screen technology—needs a third-party app.

Since Logitech presents this technology as if it were a feature of the webcam itself, many customers find this to be misleading. The webcam merely supports this third-party software instead.

The program is incredibly unreliable, which only makes things worse. The green screen is sufficient in ideal lighting conditions and with an immobile subject. However, performance worsens if the lighting is poor or if the screen is moving a lot. Overall, we were disappointed with this technology. Therefore, I also don’t advise purchasing the C922 for the background removal tool.

A great webcam for beginners is the Logitech C920. Additionally, the product is continually supported despite though the original model is almost ten years old. Since the first product debut, there have been numerous updates and rereleases, demonstrating the high demand for this item, and I don’t see it going out of style anytime soon.
